This large garden, designed by Catherine together with Alex Johnson of DesignWild Associates, is situated next to the River Stour in Suffolk. The RSPB wanted to demonstrate ways in which people could encourage wildlife into their own gardens. There are areas for food production, a heritage apple orchard, wildlife meadows and sweeps of colourful perennial planting.
A decking boardwalk runs along the bottom of the sloping gardens giving views into the woodland beside the River Stour and vertical timber posts have been designed as habitats for solitary bees.
The garden is open to the public. Contact the RSPB for more details.
